The day the stove got it's guts - Tuesday March 8th

With the first boil and finish complete, it was time to take a day off and finish the guts of the stove. There was still a lot of work left to do.

The best part was coming home from work to these two knuckleheads jumping on the scrap metal from the tank in order to straighten it out.
See them holding hands? Aren't they cute?

Of course these were the only photos I got that day because, well, SP and I got in a bit of an argument so I steered clear of the noise.

This is the divider between the firebox (lower right) and the smoke shelf (to the left and not put in yet).

A piece of steel will be placed over this.

It was so noisy out there that I chose to just sit in the warm sun on the porch, just like the lazy cat Senor.
