Sunday March 6th, the night edition

At about10:30 at night it was time to end the boil and that gets tricky when you have a heavy trough on top of a hot fire.

What does one do??

They scoop out the fire.

I took a couple of really cool videos but it looks like one of them isn't 't loading nicely.
There's something about taking pictures at night that fascinates me.

Finally when it is cool enough, you can open the spigot...

...and empty out all the yummy syrupy sap.

The it cools overnight when we will put it in the finisher the next day!
