Saturday Sandwich
Everyone went to the mountain today, but I stayed home because I wasn't feeling well. I completely cleaned out the kids rooms while they were gone. I think the yummy egg sandwich powered me. Nothing is better than the huge smiles and even bigger thanks I got from the kids when they got home. It added a much needed fill to my bucket!

Saturday Sandwich
With cheese AND bacon, this awaits me at the hockey rink. SP just sent me the picture as I sit here on the hockey sidelines. I love that man. He knows just how to cheer me up!

And a surprise one at that! I turn 40 on Monday, and SP surprised me this morning with a getaway adventure weekend to Bar Harbor! I awoke to this, my mother arriving to care for the kids, and my truck packed including our bikes and kayaks! I will be kayaking to and island for the night on my birthday! Bring it 40 - I am ready!

Saturday Sandwich
This one makes me happy for and yet miss Puckstopper. He has been in North Carolina for a week visiting his Grandmother. Together they took a class and received their scuba certification. Today they are diving on a shipwreck. We pick him up tomorrow at Logan. It will be great to have him home again. Happy Saturday - it's a glorious day in Maine!

Saturday Sandwich
I have had some set backs recently.
Below is last Saturday's sandwich.

I fell Columbus Day weekend and broke two bones in my foot. The problem is that it took the "Experts" in my life a full 3 weeks to figure out what was wrong. First the ER took X-rays and told me I had no breaks. WRONG. A week later I went to another doctor who found a fracture in that first Xray. I have a fractured navicula.

But I knew I was having pain in a separate area, and after doctor number 1 kind of dismissed my concerns, I went for a second opinion.
That doctor found a second fracture - in my heel somewhere - I was too knocked out on pain pills to think clearly enough to write down the name.
I am currently bouncing back and forth between my first opinon doctor and my second. I am thinking of going to the first opinion guy on Tuesday and demanding the MRI I asked for in the first place. I probably have grounds for malpractice, but not sure I have the cajones for that. For now, me and my Tramadol are going to sit in bed and catch up on lost time.

Saturday Sandwich

My dear husband
SP
lets me sleep in
and makes me
egg and cheese
sandwiches.
He's such a love. He also knows how to rub it in.
Yesterday I was outed by our three year old.
Apparently, I snore.
I snore regularly.
My three year old can hear me through the wall.
He knows it's me and not Dad.
I've been outed.
My cover is blown.
I can no longer deny it.
I snore - badly.
