Homemade Taco Seasoning

 Old El Paso Gluten Free Taco Seasoning Mix Original 1oz: Chili Pepper, Low Fat : Target
Our final homemade market staple of this theme is perfect for a Tuesday! Taco Tuesday is a regular occasion in this house and I am all over this recipe!
 
Taco Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

½ cup chili powder

⅓ cup cumin

2 Tablespoons paprika

2 Tablespoons salt

2 Tablespoons black pepper

1 Tablespoon & 1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 Tablespoon & 1 teaspoon onion powder

1 Tablespoon & 1 teaspoon oregano



Process

Mix all the ingredients together and store in an airtight container in a cool dry place. 

When ready to use, season your taco meat with 2 Tablespoons of the mixture.

Ranch Dressing Mix

Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Salad Dressing & Seasoning Mix - 1 oz, Women's 
Our third market staple to make at home! Everyone loves ranch!
 Ranch Seasoning Mix

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons dried parsley flakes

1 Tablespoon dried chives

2 teaspoons dried dill

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

Pinch of celery seed


Process

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small jar or airtight container. Shake or stir to mix well and store in a cool dry place. 

  2. When ready to make ranch dressing (for a quart): Combine

 1 & ¼ cup mayo

1 & ¼ cup sour cream

1 & ¼ cup kefir

 the full ranch dressing mix 

and a capful of white vinegar for tang, in a large bowl and mix well. 

  1. Pour half that mixture into a quart size jar, then add the ranch seasoning. 

  2. Stir or shake well until combined. 

  3. Pour the rest of the seasoning in and shake again to combine. 

  4. Refrigerate for 30 minutes before using.

Onion Soup Mix

Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Soup & Dip Mix - 2oz/2pk 
 It's time to reclaim our ability to fend for ourselves and make homemade store items. This will start with our pantry! 
 
Onion Soup Mix!
 

½ cup dehydrated minced onion

½ cup beef bouillon powder

1 Tablespoon dried parsley flakes

1 & ½ teaspoon onion powder

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

½ tsp celery salt


Mix and store in airtight container


Chip Dip = Mix 2 Tablespoons mix with 1 cup sour cream


1 batch = ~ 3 Lipton style packets. Use ¼ cup to replace 1 packet
