Imprinting

Baby has an incredible brain. I mean it. He has the memory of an elephant and has an incredible ability with people - two people in particular.

Baby has imprinted on these two people. One of them is Golfman, and he was Puckstoppers first hockey coach. The other one we will call, because it is one of his nicknames, Machoochoo.

Now Machoochoo lived with us during Baby's first year of life, so it would make sense that Baby imprinted on him, but it is unlike any other child I have had. It's beautiful. Baby only wants to be with Machoochoo when he is at our house, which these years is not very often.

Have you ever had this experience in your life?

I cherish the relationship between them.

It is special.

It is heartwarming, and I am so thankful that they have each other in their lives.

Green Toys

Here's yet another product I am excited to find. Green Toys are made in the USA out of recycled milk jugs, and then packaged minimally. For packaging they use recycled corrogated boxes and no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties! That last part is my favorite - no more frantic untying of twist ties on Christmas morning. Baby is going to love being able to unwrap his new recycling truck all on his own. Shhh... don't tell!

Babies grow up

...and quickly become almost as tall as their mothers.

So...

I think I need to hold tight to this little apple picker!

Why did I let my daughter have thumbs?

And why did I teach her how to use scissors?

Better yet, why did I leave my scissors out?

No more important, is why did I leave my scissors out next to my knitting project ?

That was not just any knitting project.

It was the FIRST knitting project that I hadn't made a mistake on yet.....

Do you see where I am going here?

She cut the freaking yarn off and I have to start all over.

Maybe THAT what I get for making dinner from scratch (again) and being occupied by something other than her whereabouts.

Scarf number 387 here we come!
